As well as WEDDING CEREMONIES, CREATIVE CEREMONIES can conduct for you a:
NAMING CEREMONY
For those who seek an alternative to the traditional Christening, a Naming Ceremony or Baby Blessing Ceremony, gives families and their friends, an opportunity to give thanks and welcome the arrival of a cherished newborn into the supportive circle of loving persons who will play some part in the child's life. In a Naming Ceremony, those who may have been referred to as "God Parents"- may choose to be called "Guardian Angels," "Sponsors" or "Special Guardians".
This type of service can provide a milestone in the child's life that will officially welcome "him or her" into the family.
Naming Ceremonies can include :
Introduction and Welcome
Readings/Poems
Naming of the Child (ren)
Parents' Promises
Promises by Supporting Adults/Family
Your hopes for your child's future
Parents' vows
Grandparents' promises
Candle lighting as a mention of absent ones and/or a symbolic gesture of LOVE
Signing of Certificates
Closing Words
I will create with you your wishes and provide professionally designed certificates.
COMMITTMENT CEREMONY
Some couples, due to legal, religious, cultural or other personal reasons, prefer a Commitment Ceremony. This is not a legal wedding, but a commitment between the couple to share their lives together. It is an expression of how couples feel about each other.
The Commitment Ceremony is not only an expression of love for each other, but also a remembrance of the times past and of hopes for the future. The Commitment Ceremony can be held in the privacy of your own home, in a park, restaurant, or venue of your choice and include the participation of children, family and/or close friends.
The Commitment Ceremony can include:
Introduction and welcome to family and guests
Readings / Poetry
Exchange of Rings or Gifts
Signing of certificates
Closing statements
Presentation of couple
Any other personal and significant aspects
RENEWAL OF VOWS
The Renewal of Vows is also known as a Re-Affirmation Ceremony.
In conducting this ceremony I beleive it is important to reflect the journey
that the couple have been on since they met and committed to one another.
Also included can be hopes for the future, as a couple or as a family.
In making their vows some couples choose to re affirm their original vows.
Others decide to re-write their vows in celebration of who they are as a
couple at present, and who they wish to be in the future.
A Renewal of Vows Ceremony can also include a commemorative
certificate, signed by two witnesses at the event,
maybe the same ones from their wedding day.
The Renewal Ceremony can include:
Introduction and welcome to family and guest
Poetry and/or readings
Reaffirmation of vows
Exchange of rings or gifts
Signing of certificate
Closing address
Presentation of Couple and Certificate
